This ambitious artwork is being designed by Spanish artist Domingo Zapata and comes with an unlimited budget. Intended to be visible from space, this mural symbolizes the country's aspirations and is being framed within the broader goals of the Vision 2030 initiative led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Vision 2030 initiative aims to transform Saudi Arabia into a global leader in tourism, culture, and science while decreasing the nation's economic reliance on oil exports. To achieve these objectives, the Saudi government is heavily investing in infrastructure, new technologies, culture, and entertainment. Despite some ambitious projects being scaled back or abandoned, the Crown Prince remains committed to the $63 billion urban development project in Riyadh, known as Diriyah Gate, which is also a part of these grand developmental plans.
