Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya and Secretary of Economy Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón have formalized an agreement aimed at advancing the Development Pole for Wellbeing in Altamira, part of a broader initiative known as Plan Mexico promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum. This development pole is seen as a pivotal project intended to enhance the region's economic prospects and improve the economic conditions for residents of Tamaulipas.

During their meeting in Mexico City, Governor Villarreal highlighted the importance of this agreement as a step toward reinforcing the state's economic development strategy. They also discussed other strategic projects such as the Interior Port of Ciudad Victoria and the Northern Port of Matamoros, both of which are essential for enhancing the logistic and commercial capabilities of Tamaulipas.
