The ongoing controversy related to the Pakistani hockey team's tour of Australia has turned into a significant administrative crisis, resulting in the resignation of Tariq Bugti, the president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF). Following allegations made by team captain Shakeel Ahmad Butt, Bugti submitted his resignation to the patron-in-chief of the PHF and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif. As a result, players were left without accommodations until temporary arrangements were made. Most alarmingly, Butt claimed that players had to wash dishes themselves before matches, highlighting the lack of proper support and logistics for the team during this international event.

In light of these events, Tariq Bugti has called for a thorough and fair investigation into the mismanagement that took place during the tour. He has appealed not only to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif but also to Field Marshal Asim Munir for a detailed inquiry into the disarray experienced by the team in Australia.
