Signal Failure Stops Train Traffic in Several Places on Zealand

A signal failure has halted train services at multiple locations in Zealand, Denmark, affecting key routes and prompting diversions and bus services.

On Thursday morning, train traffic in several areas of Zealand, Denmark, was severely disrupted due to a signal failure. The Danish State Railways (DSB) reported that train services between Næstved and Nykøbing Falster, Copenhagen South and Køge, as well as between Køge North and Ringsted, were affected. The issue is expected to be resolved by around 14:00, according to DSB, which has redirected travelers to use S-trains along the Copenhagen South to Køge route. Furthermore, DSB is attempting to reroute Intercity trains to Funen and Jutland via Roskilde, and train buses have been deployed to assist with transportation.
