130 Thousand 'Black Money' to Party Account? Potential 'Nemuno Aušra' Funding Scheme Revealed
Concerns have been raised regarding potentially illegal funding for the political party 'Nemuno Aušra', implicating significant sums of 'black money'.
K. Žukauskas has raised suspicions about the financing of the political party 'Nemuno Aušra', alleging that around 130,000 euros in 'black money' may have been funneled through fictitious donations. He plans to submit this information to law enforcement and the Central Electoral Commission (VRK) to investigate these claims. The implications of such funding could suggest deeper issues of corruption within political financing practices in Lithuania.
In his communication, Žukauskas expressed confidence that the investigation will reveal that such extraordinary coincidences in the financial trails do not occur without reason. He pointed out that a specific bank account statement has been in the possession of law enforcement and the VRK, which may show significant anomalies that were previously overlooked, raising concerns about the closure of previous inquiries.
Furthermore, Žukauskas mentioned that he reached out to journalist Birute Davidonyte from 'Redakcija', who had previously conducted an investigation into the funding sources of 'Nemuno Aušra'. Davidonyte hinted that she possesses the bank statement from the summer of 2024 that lists all transactions made to the party's account, which could shed light on the authenticity of the funding claimed by the party.
