Róbert Botoš, known as Roma King Róbert I, passed away at the age of 54 due to health complications in Košice.

Róbert Botoš, who was widely recognized as the Roma King Róbert I, died on Sunday in Košice at the age of 54, with Slovak media attributing his death to health issues. He gained significant attention after being crowned in 2014 at Košice's House of Art, where he received a diamond-encrusted crown amidst a lavish ceremony attended by hundreds. In recent months, Botoš had suffered from severe health complications, undergoing surgery in early February before being released for at-home care. Nevertheless, his condition worsened, and after suffering a stroke last Friday, he was hospitalized but sadly succumbed to his health challenges two days later.
