Contestant lost nearly 20 kilograms during the filming of Farmi Suomi
Jucci Hellström, a founding member of Scandinavian Hunks, discusses his drastic weight loss during the filming of the reality show Farmi Suomi.
Jucci Hellström, a fitness coach and member of the dance group Scandinavian Hunks, shared that he experienced significant weight loss, claiming to have lost nearly twenty kilograms while participating in the reality competition 'Farmi Suomi'. He likened the experience to being on 'Survivor', as he faced extreme circumstances that forced him to adapt quickly to a harsh diet. Hellström, who typically consumes between 6000 to 7000 calories a day, found himself resorting to sharing minimal food, like a few eggs among all contestants, which led to a drastic change in his eating habits.
The early days of filming proved to be particularly challenging for Hellström due to hunger. He mentioned that his picky eating habits did not serve him well when it came to managing his diet on the show. While he usually maintains a routine of chicken and rice at home, he had to eat whatever was available on set, which was often limited to low-caloric options. This situation compelled him to focus on the activities around him, attempting to distract himself from the constant feeling of hunger.
Hellström also reflected on how quickly he regained weight after returning home, highlighting the struggle many face when transitioning back to normal eating patterns after extreme diets or competitions. His experience sheds light on the challenges competitors may face in reality shows regarding food availability and how it impacts their physical health throughout the program.
