Jorge Campozano is eliminated from 'MasterChef Celebrity Ecuador 3'
Actor Jorge Campozano was eliminated from the third season of 'MasterChef Celebrity Ecuador' after failing to impress the judges with his dish.
On February 18, Jorge Campozano's journey on 'MasterChef Celebrity Ecuador' came to an end when he was eliminated in the third season of the competition. The elimination challenge required contestants to prepare a dish using green plantains and/or ripe plantains within a 60-minute timeframe. Campozano opted to create shrimp and fish meatballs, accompanied by bacon and pork chop, served over a puree of ripe plantains, crispy green plantains, and a salad of tomatoes and avocados with a parsley cream.
The judges, composed of renowned chefs Jorge Rausch, Irene González, and Cecilia Cedeño, criticized Campozano's dish for its lack of balance. They noted that the meatballs were dry and that the key ingredient, ripe plantains, did not shine as expected in the dish. This performance placed Campozano at risk of elimination, and while he ultimately did not succeed, fellow contestants Ana Paula Buljubasich and a few others narrowly escaped the same fate.
The competitive atmosphere of 'MasterChef Celebrity Ecuador' showcases not only culinary skills but also the pressure contestants face under time constraints. Campozano's elimination highlights the fierce competition among participants in this series, as well as the subjective nature of culinary judgment by the esteemed panel of judges. As the season progresses, viewers can expect to see more intense challenges and the potential for surprising outcomes.
