IAS couple of 2023 batch married at Alwar's mini secretariat
A newly married couple of IAS officers from the 2023 batch tied the knot in a simple ceremony at the mini secretariat in Alwar.
Madhav Bhardwaj and Aditi Vasane, IAS officers from the 2023 batch, married in a quiet ceremony at the mini secretariat in Alwar on Wednesday, devoid of the elaborate festivities typically associated with weddings. The marriage was registered in front of Collector Arpita Shukla, with only their immediate family present, highlighting a shift in modern Indian wedding culture.
Madhav, currently serving as an SDM in Alwar, is the son of Rajkumar Bhardwaj from Mussourie, while Aditi, originally from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, also holds an SDM position but in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The couple met during their IAS training, where their friendship blossomed into love and ultimately led to their decision to marry, demonstrating a blend of personal and professional lives in the competitive world of civil services.
The couple's choice of a simple wedding garnered attention, especially in a context where extravagant spending is the norm for many weddings in India. Their decision resonates with the changing attitudes towards marriage and celebrations, suggesting a more grounded approach among the younger generation, particularly those in public service with a focus on humility and responsibility.
