Lawyers have until March 3 to register for the selection contest of Ecuador's Attorney General

Lawyers have until March 3 to register for the public selection process for Ecuador's Attorney General, a position that will serve a six-year term.

The registration period for lawyers seeking to participate in the public selection process for the Attorney General of Ecuador is open until March 3. This opportunity is specifically targeted at lawyers experienced in criminal law and other relevant fields. Interested candidates will submit their applications to a citizen commission guided by the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPCCS), which ensures the selection process is conducted transparently and fairly.

Officially launched on February 13, the call for applications was broadcast nationwide through radio and television. However, due to the carnival holiday, the countdown for submissions began on Wednesday following the holiday. The CPCCS aims to fill this critical position with a suitable candidate who will serve for a six-year term, indicating the importance of this role in maintaining law and order in the country.

Applications will be accepted at the CPCCS offices in Quito from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Applicants are required to submit a standardized application form and a comprehensive CV, highlighting their qualifications and experience. This initiative underscores the need for capable leadership within the Attorney General's office, especially in dealing with complex legal challenges facing Ecuador today.
