Residents of a building in Copacabana faced another power outage on Wednesday, two days following a major blackout that had affected the area on Sunday. A local resident shared a video on social media detailing the situation, explaining that power was lost around 1 PM when one of the generators providing electricity to the street malfunctioned. Although a part of the generator was replaced, power continued to be unreliable after this repair.

According to Light, the electric utility responsible for the area's power supply, these generators have been in use since the weekend incident to assist technicians working on the underground network upgrade. Whenever power needs to be cut off for repairs, the generators are utilized to maintain some level of service. This approach seems necessary as the company seeks to manage the ongoing disruptions and carry out necessary maintenance on the infrastructure.

By around 7 PM, power was finally restored in the area, easing the concerns of residents. However, the repeated outages raise questions about the reliability of the current power infrastructure in Copacabana and highlight the need for improvements to prevent future disruptions, especially in a densely populated neighborhood that heavily relies on consistent electricity supply.
