Border Guards Massively Control and Send Back Foreigners
The Polish Border Guards have intensified checks on foreigners, resulting in nearly 600 individuals having their residency legality verified and over 30 being ordered to leave the country immediately.
Since the beginning of this year, the Bieszczady Border Guard unit has been actively verifying the legal status of foreigners residing in Poland, with nearly 600 individuals checked. This crackdown has resulted in at least 30 foreigners receiving orders to leave Poland immediately due to the violation of their residency permissions. The focus on controlling foreigners has heightened, reflecting an ongoing tightening of immigration enforcement in the country.
One notable case involved a 24-year-old Egyptian national who disregarded a prior denial of residency by the Podkarpacie Voivode, which led to his immediate deportation order and a subsequent six-month ban from entering the Schengen Area. This incident illustrates the strict measures being imposed on individuals who fail to comply with visa regulations, offering a clear message about Polandβs immigration policies to both residents and potential migrants.
The Border Guards have reported interventions involving nationals from a diverse group of countries including Zimbabwe, Tajikistan, Paraguay, Russia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Georgia, India, and Turkey. The ongoing checks are part of a broader strategy to manage illegal migration and reinforce Poland's borders amid increasing scrutiny of foreign residency, which poses implications for Poland's international relations and its responsibility within the EU framework.
