The 'Aposta Psica' selection process is part of the Psica Festival aimed at discovering new musical talents from the Brazilian Amazon. Registration for this initiative concludes on Wednesday, 18th, allowing artists from the nine states of the Amazon region to apply. Selected artists will have the opportunity to showcase their music through pocket shows during the Motins – Pan-Amazonian Meeting of Music and Peripheral Culture scheduled for March 5 to 7 in Belém.

This initiative emphasizes inclusivity as it mandates that 50% of the selected artists must be from groups that are predominantly represented by underrepresented demographics. This measure aims to nurture diverse musical talent arising from the Amazon region, fostering cultural representation and awareness across the broader Brazilian context. With a financial support of up to R$ 3,000 for the selected artists, the program also addresses economic barriers that might hinder creative expression.

The announcement of selected artists will occur on February 23, creating anticipation among many hopeful participants. With this strategic approach to promoting Amazonian art and music, 'Aposta Psica' serves as a crucial platform not just for local artists, but also for amplifying the cultural richness of the Amazon at a national level, showcasing the significance of the Amazonian creative community in Brazil’s cultural landscape.
