The project for a new entrance to the National Assembly postponed indefinitely
The project for a new entrance to France's National Assembly has been postponed indefinitely as announced by Yaël Braun-Pivet amid growing criticism and concerns over finances.
Yaël Braun-Pivet announced on Wednesday that the project for a new contemporary reception pavilion for the National Assembly, designed by the firm Moatti et Rivière and launched in 2023, has been postponed indefinitely. This decision comes after significant criticisms emerged about the project, which was expected to cost several tens of millions of euros. Although some contracts have already been signed, no date has been set for the resumption or completion of the project, which was intended to be opened by 2028. Braun-Pivet indicated that the cessation of work was not necessarily a permanent decision.
