Saint Clovis, an Irish-trained horse poised to compete in the Cheltenham Festival, has abruptly passed away during a routine training session at the Tom Cooper yard in Tralee, County Kerry. This incident has been described as a massive blow to Cooper's stable, which typically operates on a smaller scale, rarely producing more than ten winner jump horses a season. Following an impressive victory in a Listed bumper in November, Saint Clovis was considered a strong contender for the Weatherbys Champion Bumper, sitting at odds of 14-1.
