At the Milan and Cortina Olympics, Norwegian cross-country skier Johannes Klæbo has further solidified his status in the sport by winning his fifth gold medal, bringing his total to ten Olympic titles. His impressive performance in the men's team sprint alongside Einar Hædegaard saw the duo remain unbeaten, showcasing Norway's dominance in cross-country skiing as they completed the race in 18 minutes and 28.9 seconds, ahead of American competitors by a margin of 1.4 seconds.

Klæbo's achievements don't end with the team sprint; he also secured victories in several other events during these Olympics, including the 4x7.5-kilometer relay, 10-kilometer freestyle, 20-kilometer skiathlon, and sprint. With a total of five gold medals from these Olympic Games and an additional five from previous competitions, Klæbo has earned the title of the most decorated athlete in Winter Olympic history, which underlines his exceptional talent and commitment to the sport.

The competition also featured other notable performances, with Italian skiers Elia Barps and Federico Pellegrino finishing third, 3.3 seconds behind the Norwegian team's timely finish. In contrast, Latvia's men's team, represented by Lauris Kaparkalējs and Niks Saulītis, finished in 17th place during the qualification round and did not qualify for the finals, highlighting the intense competition at these Winter Olympics, which will continue until February 22nd.
