Growing debts and... investments

The combined debt of TSL companies in Poland reached 3.3 billion PLN at the end of 2025, with small firms facing significant challenges due to rising debts and late payments from customers.

As of the end of 2025, the total debt of TSL (Transport, Shipping, Logistics) companies in Poland has reached a staggering 3.3 billion PLN, reflecting a growing concern in the industry. Within this, the road transport sector alone accounted for 2.46 billion PLN, marking an increase of 7.2% year-on-year. A significant number of small firms, around 28,000, are facing financial difficulties and becoming non-compliant debtors. These mounting debts are likely to curb their ability to secure new contracts and invest in growth, particularly in the road transport and storage sectors, which have been the hardest hit by overdue obligations.
