V. Kondratovičius, associated with the Ministry of the Interior, has confirmed that proposals to enhance regional policy in Lithuania have been submitted to the Government Chancellery. The focus of these proposals is on improving the management of financial programs and creating a cohesive strategy among various ministries to prevent fragmentation of efforts. This is seen as a necessary step to address current challenges hindering effective implementation of policies at the regional level.

Highlighting the collaborative effort, Kondratovičius noted that his ministry has been actively working with the Ministry of Finance and is representing Lithuania in European Union formats. The intention is to align national efforts with EU requirements and ensure that Lithuania's interests are well-represented in the ongoing discussions about the new Community budget.
