In Lithuania, a significant development has occurred with the swearing-in of eleven new judges to serve in various district courts. Notably, Paulina Baukienė has been appointed as a judge at the Utenos court, while Nijolė Paškonienė will serve at Ignalina, and Jolita Knystautaitė will take her position at Zarasai. Additionally, the Kaunas district courts will have judges Lina Gudeliauskienė and Raminta Valatkienė, and at Šiauliai, three new judges have been appointed: Indrė Budžiūtė, Renata Guruškinienė, and Andrius Ščevinskas.

This expansion of the judiciary reflects Lithuania's commitment to strengthening its legal framework and ensuring that there are sufficient resources to handle the growing caseload in various regions. By appointing judges in different locations, the judiciary aims to enhance access to legal services and ensure that justice is delivered more efficiently.

The new judges will face the important task of upholding the law and ensuring fair trials in their respective courts. Their appointment comes at a time when public trust in the legal system is vital for social stability, making their roles crucial in not only delivering justice but also in maintaining the rule of law across Lithuania.
