Hordvik School in Norway has been placed on lockdown following a police situation occurring in the Åsane area, where an individual has fired shots towards law enforcement. The principal, Trym Myrseth, confirmed that the police alerted the school about the ongoing situation, necessitating the safety measure of keeping all students and staff indoors.

Currently, there are approximately 270 students and 40 staff members at the school, and the administration has informed the students about the situation, emphasizing the importance of remaining calm. Although the police incident is taking place at some distance from the school, the precautionary lockdown is being enforced to ensure everyone's safety, maintaining as much regularity in instruction as possible under the circumstances.

Principal Myrseth noted that the atmosphere among the students remains tranquil, and they are following police directives closely. The school will continue to monitor the situation and respond to guidance from law enforcement regarding when it is safe to lift the lockdown, thus prioritizing the safety of students and staff throughout this unsettling event.
