In India, a global summit on artificial intelligence, Plenković met with Modi
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković is attending the fourth global summit on artificial intelligence in India, where he met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković is participating in the fourth global summit on artificial intelligence in New Delhi, where he will remain until February 20. On the first day of his visit, he held a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is scheduled to meet with representatives from the CMA-CGM company as well. A significant aspect of his visit includes a meeting with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Thursday, aiming to discuss global issues within the framework of AI and its impact on society.
This summit marks a continuation of a series of global AI summits, following the first one held in the UK in 2023 and the upcoming one in South Korea in 2024. The focus on artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming a global priority, as leaders from various nations, like Modi, who co-chaired the AI Action Summit last year in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron, are steering conversations about the responsible use and implications of AI technologies. This context highlights Croatia's commitment to engaging in significant discussions on AI on an international platform.
Plenković's visit to India also includes a lecture at Delhi University titled 'Bridging Continents: Croatia and India in a Connected World,' emphasizing the strengthening of bilateral relations. By participating in these high-level meetings and discussions, Croatia aims to establish itself as an active participant in the global AI discourse, fostering partnerships that can bring mutual benefits in technology and innovation between the two nations.
