In addition to the injuries, the storm caused extensive damage in the area, notably knocking down power poles along Avenida José Lozano de Araújo, particularly near the rotunda at Portal Greco-Romano. This damage has prompted a response from the local power company, CPFL Paulista, which announced that crews are working on repairs. They noted the situation is complex and efforts began in the early hours to restore electricity and safety in the affected areas.
