In the Krkonoš Mountains, avalanche danger has been assessed at level two, indicating a moderate risk, particularly on the Polish side of the mountains, as reported by the Mountain Service. The Czech side is still at level one, meaning the hiking conditions are mostly safe. Current snow depths range from 50 to 80 centimeters, with the most accumulation in sheltered areas and gullies. In the last 24 hours, an additional 10 centimeters of new snow has fallen, making the snowpack more unstable due to winds from the southwest to west.
