Insured for 20 million, became the nominee himself, then plotted the murder of a friend
In Telangana, two young men have been arrested for allegedly plotting the murder of their friend to embezzle a life insurance policy worth 20 million rupees.
A sensational case has emerged in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana, where police have arrested two individuals for conspiring to murder their friend. The accused planned this heinous act in order to claim a life insurance policy valued at approximately 20 million rupees. One of the arrested is reported to be an employee at a private bank, raising questions about the motivations and the role of trust between friends in this tragic episode.
On the night of February 14, a man named Katta Yashwant was found injured by the roadside near Mothi village. Initially, it was presumed that he was involved in a road accident and he was admitted to a government hospital in Bhadrachalam. However, due to his deteriorating condition, he was referred to another hospital in Khammam for more serious treatment. The investigation took a significant turn when Yashwant's aunt, Mulisetettu Rama, filed a police complaint citing her suspicions that it was not merely an accident but a premeditated attack.
Following the aunt's complaint, the police started an official investigation. As part of the inquiry, they turned their focus towards Katta Sai Deepak and his friend Konda Bhanu Prakash, both residents of the Bhadradri area. The two were apprehended by the police while they were driving in a car on a Tuesday evening, thereby highlighting the dangerous mix of financial greed and betrayal among acquaintances in these criminal plots.
