1.1 million won agricultural settlement subsidy, 500,000 won job-seeking allowance… 100 youth projects in Jeonbuk

Jeonbuk Province is launching 100 youth policy projects aimed at promoting opportunities for young people to dream, achieve, and settle in their local communities, with a budget of 3.577 trillion won primarily focused on employment.

Jeonbuk Province is making a significant investment in youth policy initiatives this year, with plans to implement 100 projects across five areas including jobs, education, housing, and culture, totaling a budget of 3.577 trillion won. The province aims to create an environment where young people can truly dream, achieve, and settle in the community they call home. Of the total budget, more than 62% will be allocated to job creation initiatives, highlighting the province's recognition of employment as a crucial factor in youth retention and development.

One of the standout programs is the 'Youth Job Internship' initiative, which offers 1,000 young individuals the chance to gain practical experience in public institutions and businesses, with financial support that reaches 6 million won for a three-month placement. Additionally, the 'Youth Challenge Support Project' provides financial assistance to job-seeking young people, with participation in the program offering up to 250,000 won alongside a further reward for securing employment. Furthermore, targeted support for young farmers includes monthly agricultural settlement support ranging from 900,000 to 1.1 million won to foster entrepreneurship in rural areas through the launch of smart farms.

The Jeonbuk Youth Policy Package also includes affordable housing projects, such as the construction of 320 rental units termed 'Amazing Rental Housing' for newlyweds and young individuals. Additional financial assistance, including security deposit support for public rental housing, enhances accessibility for couples and youth. The initiative aims to cover a wide demographic of young people—whether they are already employed, actively seeking jobs, or struggling with societal isolation and caregiving responsibilities—by providing them with the necessary resources to thrive and reintegrate into the community, thereby addressing both economic and social dimensions of youth development.
