Electricity prices remain high on Wednesday

On Wednesday, the average electricity price in Estonia remains high, increasing by 35.9% compared to the previous day.

On Wednesday, the average price of electricity in Estonia is projected to remain high, with a significant increase of 35.9% compared to Tuesday, reaching 139.59 euros per megawatt-hour. This surge reflects regional trends, as Latvia and Lithuania maintain the same electricity price as Estonia, while Finland experiences a lower average price of 129.57 euros per megawatt-hour, about 7% lower than in Estonia.

The peak electricity prices in Estonia are expected to occur twice during the day, first between 9:15 and 9:30 AM and later between 5:30 and 5:45 PM, during which time prices will climb to 209.69 euros per megawatt-hour. Conversely, the lowest electricity price is anticipated overnight from 1:15 to 3:30 AM, dropping to 77.22 euros, highlighting the fluctuations in electricity prices throughout the day.

These price variations are significant for consumers and businesses in Estonia, as high electricity costs can impact economic activity and household budgets. With regional electricity systems closely linked, changes in one country may influence prices in neighboring countries, suggesting that Estonia's electricity price trends could have broader implications for Baltic energy markets.
