Four flights were impacted due to a temporary closure of Vilnius Airport caused by the presence of suspicious navigation markers in the airspace.
Vilnius Airport experienced a temporary suspension of operations affecting four flights this week. According to the statements made to LRT Radio by V. Vitkauskas, two flights were redirected—one to Kaunas and the other to Riga—affecting a total of 215 passengers. However, once the airspace was reopened, those flights managed to return and land at Vilnius Airport, thus minimizing disruption. Additionally, two flights were delayed, impacting another 235 passengers.
