Chinatown in Buenos Aires will celebrate the Chinese New Year 2026 with a series of cultural events organized by the Chinatown Association and the Federation of Reunification of China in Argentina. The program includes dragon boat races, traditional dances, and iconic landmarks illuminated in red, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the city. This year's celebrations mark the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse, and the festivities are concentrated mainly in the Belgrano neighborhood, where numerous activities will take place from February 14 to February 17.

The main events will attract locals and visitors alike, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Chinese community in Argentina. Activities will be held daily from 12 PM to 8 PM, with the most significant day of celebration occurring on Monday, February 16, which holds particular symbolic importance as the community bids farewell to the Year of the Rat and welcomes the Year of the Horse. This year’s celebrations aim to foster cultural exchange and community spirit while promoting the beautiful traditions associated with the Chinese New Year.

Beyond Belgrano, the festivities will extend to Puerto Madero and various other landmarks around Buenos Aires.
