The total number of pre-selected students from Acre reached 987, amidst a total registration count of 5,436 across the state. This indicates a strong interest in higher education among the local population. The results were disclosed on February 3 by the Ministry of Education, showing the state had available 1,684 scholarships divided into 1,026 full scholarships and 658 partial scholarships. The first call has implications for the accessibility of higher education in the region.

A second round of selections will be announced on March 2, 2026, giving more candidates a chance at acquiring scholarships under the Prouni program. The demand for courses such as medicine, law, and psychology highlights the local educational priorities and the competitive landscape of higher education in Acre, which may inspire future educational policies to further support disadvantaged students in accessing university-level education.
