The quarterfinals of the Estonian basketball cup commenced on Monday with notable performances from both Keila Coolbet and the defending champions Kalev/Cramo. Kalev/Cramo played against Hepa Rapla and dominated from the start, securing a commanding lead of 34-10 in the first quarter and maintaining a 30-point advantage at halftime. Despite a slight resurgence from Rapla in the third quarter, where they outscored Kalev 27-25, Kalev/Cramo regained control in the final quarter, winning it 27-10 and ultimately finishing the game with a score of 109-64.
The victory for Kalev/Cramo was marked by standout performances from their top scorers, Severi Kaukiainen who scored 22 points and Tyson Acuff with 15 points. Other key contributors included Hugo Toom and Gregor Kuuba, who each scored 13 points, while Anrijs Miška posted a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. This decisive performance not only showcased Kalev/Cramo's superiority over Hepa Rapla but also affirmed their status as favorites for the tournament.
On the other hand, Hepa Rapla's performance had contributors such as Jan Märten Ratas and Markus Heinakroon, who managed to score 13 and 11 points respectively, but it was not enough to close the significant gap.
