Additionally, Ireland's Data Protection Commission (DPC) is formally investigating an AI chatbot named Grok, which is reported to be capable of creating sexualized images and videos involving children. This investigation follows similar concerns expressed by the DPC regarding the safety and appropriateness of content generated by AI technologies. As the chief regulatory body for the company X operating within the European Union, the DPC has the authority to enforce the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which aims to safeguard personal data and privacy across the union.
