Putin Launches New Mega-Attack Before Negotiating with Ukraine

Vladimir Putin's forces conducted a massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, killing workers and leaving many without power as negotiations to end the war are set to resume.

On Tuesday, Vladimir Putin's military carried out a significant strike against Ukraine's energy systems just hours before the two nations were set to resume negotiations mediated by the United States aimed at concluding the nearly four-year-long conflict. This latest assault resulted in the deaths of at least three workers who were trying to restore power lines, and left tens of thousands of residents, particularly in the capital Kiev, facing harsh winter conditions with sub-zero temperatures and no heating or electricity.

The attack involved the deployment of 396 drones, with Ukrainian forces claiming to have shot down 367 of them, along with 29 ballistic missiles, of which 25 were intercepted.
