The Rhodes Cycling Races Celebrate 10 Years of International Presence

Rhodes is set to host the 'Rhodes International Cycling Events 2026', marking a decade of international cycling competitions on the island.

The island of Rhodes and the Greek cycling community are gearing up to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 'Rhodes International Cycling Events 2026'. From February 28 to March 15, a total of 33 teams composed of 29 national professional cycling teams and 4 elite cycling clubs from 40 countries will compete across the scenic landscapes of this beautiful island. The participating cyclists will collectively cover an impressive 978 kilometers over four different events, bringing together athleticism and the stunning natural beauty of Rhodes.

The events will kick off with the 'Visit South Aegean GP' on February 28, followed by the 'Region of Dodecanese GP' on March 1. The highlight lies in the 'Rhodes GP' on March 7, and the final set of races known as the 'Tour of Rhodes Powered by Rodos Palace' will take place from March 12-15. With the addition of a new international race and the elevation of two existing races to a higher classification, the 10th anniversary edition is poised to be the most competitive yet, drawing top athletes from around the globe to showcase their skills on this emerald island.

This decade-long celebration not only underscores the importance of cycling as a sport in Greece but also emphasizes Rhodes' role as an international cycling destination. The events are expected to boost tourism and provide a platform for promoting cycling while contributing to the local economy.
