Media: Milan Jaff, 25, reveals his plans in Kurdistan

Milan Jaff, who has a criminal background and was deported from Finland, discusses his future in Iraqi Kurdistan in a recent interview.

Milan Jaff, a 25-year-old who has been convicted for gang affiliations and various crimes, gave an interview to the Kurdish media outlet Rudaw, portraying a hostile image of Finland. Jaff's residence permit was revoked by the Finnish Immigration Service last summer, leading to his deportation to Iraq. He recently provided an extensive video interview highlighting his views on Finland and sharing his future plans after returning to Kurdistan.

In the interview, Jaff expresses his intention to live normally in Iraqi Kurdistan, describing the people there as respectful and the environment as safe. He contrasts his experiences in Finland, where he aimed to 'help the poor' and build a life, but found it difficult to integrate into Finnish society. Jaff claims that his reputation in Finland deteriorated uncontrollably, prompting his decision to return to Kurdistan, where he feels more at ease.

Jaff's deportation from Finland occurred in December, as reported by Iltalehti on December 12, and his recent statements suggest he has adjusted well to life in Kurdistan. Despite his criminal history, he seems optimistic about his future there, indicating a significant shift from his previous life in Finland to a more stable existence in Iraq, away from past challenges.
