Beija-Flor and Unidos do Viradouro stood out on the second night of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival's Special Group, honoring key Brazilian figures and celebrating ancestry.

Beija-Flor de Nilópolis and Unidos do Viradouro captured attention during the second night of Rio de Janeiro's Special Group Carnival parades. They honored significant Brazilian personalities and celebrated themes of ancestry within their performances. Key figures, such as Mestre Ciça, the conductor of the Viradouro's drum section, were prominently featured in the themes of their respective parades.

Other participating schools included Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel and Unidos da Tijuca, all of which adhered to the strict time limit of 80 minutes for their performances on the iconic Marquês de Sapucaí avenue. The previous night had already set a high standard with Imperatriz Leopoldinense and Estação Primeira de Mangueira standing out, while Acadêmicos de Niterói and Portela also showcased their rich traditions.

Looking ahead, the carnival will conclude with the final night of parades featuring Paraíso do Tuiuti, Unidos de Vila Isabel, Acadêmicos do Grande Rio, and Acadêmicos do Salgueiro, promising to keep up the momentum of celebration and cultural display that characterizes the Rio Carnival, known for its vibrant spectacle and deep cultural roots.
