On February 14, the 2025 Estonian Architecture Awards were presented at the Tallinn City Theatre, highlighting the notable achievements in architecture over the past year. A total of 166 submissions were received, with 17 awards given out, reflecting the vibrant architectural landscape in Estonia. Among the winners, the main award from the Cultural Endowment of Estonia's Architecture Capital was awarded to Salto Architects for their impressive body of work over the past two decades, including the recently completed Tallinn City Theatre and Saku Gymnasium.

The assessment of architectural quality in Estonia considers holistic elements, as good architecture integrates both the architect's vision and the interior designer's contributions. This principle is illustrated by the Interior Architecture Award, which went to Pille Lausmäe's interior architecture bureau for their work on the Saku Gymnasium. The design of the building showcases an essential collaboration between architecture and interior design, reinforcing the idea that the two are inextricably linked in creating functional and aesthetic spaces.

Additionally, the Architectural Capital's Activity Award was bestowed upon Ulla Alla, Merilin Kaup, and their team at the architecture residency VARES in Valga, acknowledging their efforts in promoting architectural discourse and education in the region.
