The Directorate for Cultural Heritage allocates 90.9 million to Norwegian World Heritage

The Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage has announced a significant allocation of 90.9 million kroner aimed at supporting the country's World Heritage sites and centers for the year 2026. Of the total allocation, 66.8 million kroner has been designated for eight iconic sites that are included on UNESCO's World Heritage list. These sites encompass breathtaking natural landscapes and rich historical landmarks, including the West Norwegian Fjord Landscape, Vegaøyan, Struve's Meridian Arc, rock art in Alta, Røros, the industrial heritage of Rjukan-Notodden, Bryggen in Bergen, and the Urnes Stave Church.
