An evacuation was ordered at the Dołhobyczów border crossing with Ukraine after an unarmed grenade was found.

According to Łukasz Chomczyński, a duty officer from the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Lublin, border guard officials found the grenade on one of the travelers passing through the border. In light of this discovery, immediate action was taken to ensure the safety of all individuals present.

A total of 19 individuals were evacuated during this incident, including 14 civilians, three customs service employees, and two border guard officials. Firefighters were deployed to secure the area and manage the situation effectively. The authorities have stated that the police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident further to determine how the grenade came to be at the border crossing.
