Ukraine's military turns Russian equipment into 'scrap metal' in newly released video
Ukraine's military has released a video showing the destruction of Russian military equipment in Crimea, attributed to the elite Prymary unit.
On February 16, Ukraine's military intelligence agency (HUR) unveiled a video showcasing attacks conducted by the elite Prymary unit against Russian military targets in Crimea. This operation is part of Ukraine's continuous strategy to undermine Russian defenses on the peninsula, which remains temporarily occupied. HUR emphasized the methodical approach of the Prymary unit, which has made significant strides in dismantling Russian military installations.
The footage reveals several high-value targets struck during the recent operations, including the destruction of a Pantsir missile system and a 55Zh6U Nebo-U long-range radar station, with an estimated value of approximately $100 million. The Ukrainian intelligence agency highlighted that this significant equipment, originally valued in millions, is now rendered obsolete and turned into 'scrap metal' by the efficiency of Ukrainian military actions. This destruction not only represents a physical loss for the Russian military but also serves as a morale boost for the Ukrainian forces.
While the Kyiv Independent reported on these operations, it noted that the claims made by HUR could not be independently verified. Nevertheless, Ukraine has been effective in carrying out strikes against military infrastructure deep within both Russian territories and their occupied zones, emphasizing its military strategy aimed at crippling Russian capabilities and asserting its efforts in the ongoing conflict.
