Kim Jong-un, the General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, attended the completion ceremony for 10,000 new residential units in Pyongyang's Hwaseong district, which is part of a five-year development plan. During the ceremony, he met with the assigned workers and conveyed his wishes for their happiness in the new homes. His daughter, Kim Ju-ae, also accompanied him. The event was significant as it coincided with the 84th birthday of Kim Jong-un's father, Kim Jong-il, celebrated as 'Gwangmyeongseong Day' in North Korea. The completion of these housing units marks a major milestone, significantly exceeding the government's original goal of building 50,000 units in the capital as set by the 8th Party Congress in 2021.
