Vasco-AC players investigated for the rape of 2 women in accommodation; they deny wrongdoing
Players from the Brazilian soccer team Vasco-AC are under investigation for the alleged rape of two women in their accommodation, with one player arrested and others facing charges.
In a troubling incident in Rio Branco, players from Associação Desportiva Vasco da Gama (Vasco-AC), including Erick Luiz Serpa Santos, Matheus Silva, Brian Peixoto Henrique Iliziario, and Alex Pires Júnior, are being investigated for the alleged rape of two women in the team's accommodation. The alleged events took place in the early hours of last Friday (October 13), and as a result, striker Erick Serpa was arrested on Saturday (October 14) and was later placed in preventive custody following a custody hearing on Sunday (October 15). The team has publicly stated that it does not condone any form of violence and will take appropriate internal measures as the investigation proceeds.
