By the evening, the water supply was shut off, revealing a substantial hole that left around 45 properties without access to water for the subsequent days. Tingalpa State School, significantly affected by the incident, communicated to parents that they would be without water for several days. In response to the situation, the Parents and Citizens (P&C) group announced that portable toilets will be installed in one of the school car parks. Parents have been advised to keep children at home if possible, highlighting the severity of the water disruption and the challenges it poses for the school environment.
