In 2025, leasing in Argentina experienced a significant growth of 56%, marking its highest level since 2019 with total financing surpassing one trillion pesos. This increase reflects a positive trend with eight consecutive quarters of improvement, indicating a robust recovery in medium and long-term investment financing. With an average contract duration of 40 months, the leasing model allows clients to secure the use of assets through monthly payments and provides an option to purchase at the end of the contract.
Ramiro BarΓ©, president of Leasing Argentina, highlighted that the surge in leasing activity signifies a revival in productive investment, emphasizing its growing importance, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the transportation sector. The 2025 statistics revealed that 6,390 contracts were signed, marking the highest number of leasing operations since 2017, showcasing a resurgence in financial activity.
Similarly, NicolΓ‘s Scioli, vice president of the entity, mentioned that the consolidation of leasing as a financing tool reinforces its role as a critical asset for SMEs navigating the recovery phase post-economic challenges. This trend not only bolsters business operations but also signals a broader confidence in the economic recovery within Argentina, as firms increasingly utilize leasing to facilitate growth and investment.
