Hycsa wins a 1.64 billion pesos contract to construct Line 5 of the Mexibús

Grupo Hycsa has secured a national public tender to build Line 5 of the Mexibús in Mexico State for 1.64 billion pesos.

Grupo Hycsa, through its subsidiaries, has won the public tender for the construction of Line 5 of the Mexibús, an important public transportation project in Mexico State. The contract, valued at 1.64 billion pesos, will be administered as a multiyear public works project, aimed at enhancing mobility throughout the region. The total construction length will cover 29.41 kilometers with 29 intermediate stations, connecting strategic routes such as Vía Gustavo Baz and Avenida José López Portillo to link the major terminals of Lechería and El Rosario.

The initiation of this project is set with a timeline of 764 days from the start of construction, which highlights the urgency and significance of upgrading transportation infrastructure in the State of Mexico. As the state manages operations for four existing lines of the Mexibús across various municipalities and two boroughs in Mexico City, this addition is expected to significantly improve local transit services.

Hycsa emphasizes that their involvement in this major development not only promises to enhance mobility but also aims to diversify and strengthen their business portfolio. The project aligns with the ongoing efforts to improve public transport systems in the region, which is vital for economic growth and urban development.
