The local organizers are anticipating a turnout of approximately 23,000 people over the three-day food festival, which celebrates local culinary delights primarily made from corn. The festival is particularly appealing to both residents and visitors, creating a vibrant atmosphere infused with cultural unity through food and music.
This year's event features various corn-based dishes, with the main highlight being pamonha, priced at R$ 14. Other offerings include curau at R$ 10, corn cake at R$ 20, viradinho at R$ 10, and boiled corn at R$ 5. The pamonhada is held daily from 9 am to 4 pm, and expectations for visitor numbers are highest between Saturday and Monday, with around six thousand attendees anticipated per day. On Monday, October 16, a significant crowd is also expected.
Beyond the culinary experience, the festival includes musical performances, notably by a group called Milhofolia.
