In the Jewar area of Gautam Buddh Nagar, a concerning situation has arisen as illegal drones have been spotted flying around the Noida International Airport, which is currently under construction. This alarming discovery led to security agencies raising their alert level after a written complaint was filed by Krishna Kant, a supervisor from the private agency responsible for airport security. According to reports, the drones have been entering the airport vicinity from the direction of Runhera-Kuraib village towards Jhajhar Road over the past two to three days, before returning to the same area after a brief period.

In response to the situation, local police have registered a case against unknown persons under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The local police station in charge, Inspector Sanjay Kumar Singh, informed that the airport area has been designated as a ‘No-Drone Fly Zone’ due to security concerns, where flying drones is entirely prohibited. Such unauthorized activities pose a significant risk to airport security, which is paramount in ensuring safety for operations at the airport and the surrounding community.
