On a typical afternoon in Salamanca, a city bus was involved in an accident that resulted in seven minor injuries. The incident occurred when the bus, reportedly due to the driver's ill condition, first struck a streetlight before crashing into the entrance of an apartment building on Avenida de Portugal around 1:30 PM. The collision with the lamp post helped mitigate the impact against the residential building.

The bus driver, a 55-year-old man, suffered a head laceration as well as cuts to his hands and face from shattered glass.
