State Government holds Lava-Pratos in Imperatriz with national attractions
The Maranhão State Government is organizing the Lava-Pratos festival in Imperatriz featuring a variety of national musical acts.
In Maranhão, the Carnival atmosphere pervades throughout February, with Imperatriz—its second-largest city—serving as a prominent venue for festive celebrations fostered by the state government. On February 21 and 22, the Lava-Pratos festival will occur for the umpteenth time, showcasing a rich program filled with major performances that highlight the state's commitment to decentralizing festivities and spreading culture, leisure, and entertainment across its interior regions.
Hosted by the State Government through the Secretary of State for Culture (Secma), the event is set to take place on Avenida Bernardo Sayão, starting at 7 PM each evening, featuring renowned national and local artists for two unforgettable days of excitement, safety, and organization. The first day's lineup will include performances by Forró de Elite, TDN, Nattanzinho Lima, Thaís Moreno, and Pablo, ensuring a diverse mix of rhythms and popular hits that are expected to energize the audience. The following day will see performances by Kevin Baetz and other artists, continuing the trend of lively entertainment that resonates with the local and regional communities.
This initiative not only exemplifies the state government’s efforts in promoting regional culture but also reinforces community engagement through the arts, making it an integral part of the Carnival celebrations in Maranhão. By focusing on local festivities, the Lava-Pratos festival plays a vital role in uniting people through music and cultural expression, contributing to a rich tapestry of Brazilian Carnival traditions.
