A German politician proposes access restrictions at train stations to enhance safety following rising incidents of aggression against railway staff.
Stephan Stracke, a transport expert from the CSU party, has proposed implementing access restrictions at train stations in Germany to improve safety on trains. In a statement quoted by the Rheinische Post, Stracke noted that in other countries, limiting platform access to ticket holders has proven effective in reducing the need for extensive security checks. He emphasized that while the idea should at least be considered for major train stations, it could significantly help in minimizing security risks and maintaining order.
