'Mar de Mães,' a short film shot in Santos, Brazil, has gained international recognition by winning the Best Short Film and Best Production categories at the Barcelona Indie Awards 2026. The film, which premiered in December 2024, tells the story of three women who forge a bond through motherhood while confronting the challenges of overload and guilt against the backdrop of Santos's picturesque beaches.

Directed by Letícia Prisco and featuring a script by Thaís Vilarinho in collaboration with Thaís Poetha, the film was produced by Prosapress, Mãe Fora da Caixa, and B2mamy. It showcases a talented cast, including Fernanda Rodrigues, Pathy Dejesus, Sabrina Petraglia, and Cristiana Oliveira, and has been featured in several Brazilian cities, enhancing its visibility and appeal before its international success.
